I like the top drawing, it's very cool. I like those boots that the kid has on. These are awesome.

Is the movie 2-D or 3-D?

wowy wow wow. Amazing work here.

You live in Paris? Are you going to MIPcom? Maybe I'll see you there, and not recognize you, as I have no idea what you look like.
Good luck with your feature!!

Hey RB.

Thanks, I really don't care weather it would be 2D or 3D as long as it gets made.

Hello Murrayb,

Thanks for the nice comments. I don't know if I'll be at MIPcom. Maybe. I'm the guy with a ball cap and the graying goatee. Hope to meet up someday.

Hey Bob! I doubt you remember me, I met you years ago in Fort Worth, TX, you drew some original Ren and Stimpy drawings for me (which I still have). I was a chubby little cartoon fanboy back then, and not much has changed. Great to come across your blog, love the artwork, it will provide a ton of inspiration!

Hi David. I remember you. How are you doing?

David DeGrand said...

I'm doing really well. I live in Fort Worth now and draw cartoons and sell cartoon paintings in galleries and conventions around the state. How's life in Paris?

Hi again Bobalob,

There's something cute about a gap between the front teeth, no?

Pat says Hi to Bob.

And Ed says Hi to you too.

Hugs,

Something I've always wondered. In the beginning of Sven Hoek, is that you dancing around with the accordian?

Nice designs. Looks like a fun feature. I really like the Kooper design.

I realized I never answered your question about the strange diet...

I've forgotten some of it but, this is what he used to eat for lunch.

First there was something known only as "green drink" imagine pond sludge and you'll have a good idea of colour and consistency. I don't remember what the ingredients were that made up the green powder base. That powder was mixed with racemized water (he had a machine at home that would do this to specially filtered water, it basically means that the water is optically inactive and equal parts, well... I forget now. It makes the water taste strange though) There was also a small vial of black liquid called Yucca (from the plant of the same name) that was mixed in.

Then, along with the green drink, there were A LOT of pills, food supplements, enzymes, vitamins etc.

Now he told me that he could live just off of just that but, he did eat regular food in smaller portions, because well, he liked the taste of food. He's vegetarian except for when he eats fish.

He explained all of the pills and the green drink to me once and it actually made a lot of sense why you would do that. It works for him. He just turned 70 and still has a lot of energy.

Holy crap, you're really talented.

Hey Bob, do you remember living with a guy named Cy in NYC?

Bob Camp said...

Life is good in Paris. Nice to hear from you David. Take care.

Bob Camp said...

Hey Susan. The haracter you like is loosly based on Patty. Nioce to hear from you. Say hi to Ed and Patty for me. Love and kisses!

Bob Camp said...

Hi Dave, No it's a fat guy we hired because he had his own accordian and lederhosen.

Bob Camp said...

MF, thanks for the scoop on Bluth's diet. Hey folks you heard it here first! Stay in touch.

Bob Camp said...

A feature ? Wow ! Great stuff. Oh by the way, I recently put up some samples of my voice work on my blog. I would like it if you would take some time to listen to them.

Morry Airity, that kills me. I hope to see more of this!

Bob Camp said...

PC! Hey man, I'll try to find time to give a listen later today. Thanks for the nice comments.

Bob Camp said...

Hi Doug! Thanks, I like Morrey too. especially his big butt and long flat feet. He's really fun to draw.

Max Ward said...

Hi Bob,

Does Tony Salmons ring a bell? Cy is his nephew and you apparently lived with him in NYC. I'm friends with his daughter, that's how I know.

You're a very talented artist and I'm looking forward to seeing more of your artwork.

Bob Camp said...

OK Max, now I remember Cy (a little). Yeah Tony and I are good friends. I'm thinking about posting some of his work on my other blog. Do you know how to contact him?

Hi Bob,

Cy is Tony's brother, not his nephew. Don't know how I got those mixed up, sorry.

Here is Tony's blog

Hey Bob,
I just want to say that I think you are one of the most amazing artist. I thought your stuff looked great during Ren and Stimpy, and I love the drawings in your blog. Will you ever come back to the United States? Take care and keep up the good work.

Bob Camp said...

Hi James!

Thanks for the kind comments. I checked out your blog. Lots of fun stuff there! The inner beauty inside-out duck thing was very funny.
It's great to see guys like you that really love doing funny, stupid drawings and gags. I don't know when I'll be coming back but Europe is very cool right now. Stay in touch.

Great looking stuff Bob! Don't know if you remember me from Warners. Used to go to lunch once in a while with you and Jeff Siergey. Just had lunch with Jeff the other day, matter of fact. These designs are cool. Hope it gets made into something. Paris is way cool.
