The Real Ghost Busters

This group includes Michael Gross who was the producer on the show. He had been really sick with cancer so I did this get well card for him. I guess it worked because he fully recovered.

Notice me and Bruce Timm on the right of this crowd shot.

Here are some drawings I did as a designer on Ghost Busters for DIC.
I had a lot of fun on this job, working closly with
Bruce Timm, drawing monsters all day.

The ghosts were far and away the best part of the show and ennobled it far above the ranks of any 80s toy commercial cartoon. Thanks for posting these. I have friend who to this day raves about how awesome the "evil" ghostbusters were in one episode, which I guess the Ray-with-bone was a member of.

These character designs are so COOL! They have solidity and anatomy like an illustration, but are fun and cartoony too (my favorite style of art).

Thanks for putting these up. I'll be sure to study them.

The healing powers of cartoons, huh? Awesome. Also awesome that you got to work with Bruce Timm--or maybe that should be said the other way around...

I knew it was BT ! I also love these designs of the ghostbusters, alot better then the lame "realistic" ones that they had on the show.

i gotta say i didn't know that the dude behind ren and stimpy and the dude behind the dc animated universe were part of the creature designers of the real ghostbusters until i came to bob camp's site and after seeing the killer(no pun intended)designs of the ghosts i was initionally blown away this is some verry impressive work.man the real ghostbusters was an spectacular animated series that came from a spectacular movie.

Hi Unlimited, Thank you! I really dug working on GB.

Thanks Chip. I have many more but it takes a lot of time to scan and post them. Maybe I'll throw some more up here soon.

Thanks Vince!

Hey Iron, No i didn't. He was really the invention of all of us as so many characters on R&St were. I suppose John may have actually created the idea at first but it was the great Chris Reccardi who brought him to life in Space madness. I did a lot with him for sure and he was one of my faves to do but Chris really blew life into him.

Thanks, Rob!

Thanks, Weirdo!

Hey Bro, Bruce and I were feeding off of each other I think. I did learn a lot about stylizaion from watching Bruce. He is one of the most amazing cartoonists I've ever worked with. He is like a sponge that absorbs everything he sees and makes it his own.

Thank you Cath.

Thanks Rick!

Thanks Anon, but I never had anything to do with DC. Only Marvel.

Thanks Baskee. I'm so happy to hear from you. I miss you!
